Nigeria @63: Onaiyekan, Kukah celebrate Nigeria in grand style in US
As Nigeria marks the 63rd independence anniversary of the country, emeritus Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan and Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Hassan Kukah, have celebrated Nigeria in a special way.
The renowned Catholic bishops, who are on a trip to the United States, cut Nigeria’s independence anniversary cake in the colour of the country’s flag.
PlatinumPost gathered that Onaiyekan and Kukah were joined in the cutting of the cake by other priests.
The event which took place at South Bend on Sunday, also witnessed the presence of Rev Fr Chris Omotosho of Sokoto Diocese who is on study in US.
