Man United owners meet to decide Ten Hag’s future as club eyes Tuchel as replacement

Manchester United’s senior officials will hold an executive committee meeting today (Tuesday) to discuss the future of manager, Erik ten Hag.

The meeting is expected to be attended by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Sir Dave Brailsford, chief executive, Omar Berrada, sporting director, Dan Ashworth and technical director, Jason Wilcox.

They were all at Villa Park to watch the Red Devils play out a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa last Sunday.

The result confirmed United’s worst start to a Premier League season and leaves the club 14th in the league, having scored just five times in seven games.

Co-chairman Joel Glazer, who along with Ratcliffe and Brailsford forms the key decision-making trinity, will also be at the summit.

According to Sky Sports, chief operating officer Collette Roche and chief financial officer Roger Bell, could also be present.

Ten Hag is under immense pressure at Old Trafford and former Chelsea and Bayern Munich coach, Thomas Tuchel, is being linked with the job.

An ex-United midfielder, Michael Carrick, who is currently managing Middlesbrough in the Championship is another name in the frame.
