APC will end Adeleke’s reign in 2026, says ex-envoy

Former Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico, Adejare Bello, has said the All Progressives Congress in Osun State will work hard and ensure it regains power lost to Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party in the next governorship poll.

Bello, an indigene of Ede, in Osun State, spoke at a reception organised for him in his hometown by the leadership of the APC and his supporters to formally receive him back to the state after completing his assignment in the Latin American nation.

In Bello’s address obtained on Friday, the former speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, said, “(the) APC is a party to watch out for in 2026. (The) APC is coming back to power, you can rest assured.

“The man there today is my friend and brother. I wish him well. I congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke when he won the election at the Supreme Court, but when it comes to politics, I have to defend where I belong and that is why I said Osun people should watch out as APC will take over power in 2026.

“I will also want to advise Governor Ademola Adeleke that the remaining years, he has almost three years, he should intensify effort to make sure that he develops every facet of Osun State because he may not have another four years to it.”
