Atiku: Festus Keyamo appeals FHC judgement on SPV saga

Former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo on Tuesday appealed the judgement of a Federal High Court, which dismissed his suit, seeking to compel law-enforcement agencies to investigate Atiku Abubakar over the Special Purpose Vehicle, SPV.

Recall that Justice J.K Omotosho of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday dismissed Keyamo’s suit.

The court trashed the case, stating that the law-enforcement agencies were not given enough time to begin the investigations before Keyami filed the suit.

But a statement issued on Tuesday by the Head of Keyamo’s Chamber, John Ainetor, said “We have raised an initial four grounds of appeal with a possibility of raising additional grounds of appeal.”

“Keyamo has a rich history of taking it upon himself to challenge unconstitutionality, corruption and the breach of the rule of law by public officials.

“Like all lawyers from time immemorial, he has won some, lost some and some are still pending in court. That is what the struggle is all about”, the statement added.
