Emirates Cup: Arsenal thrash Bayer Leverkusen 4-1
Arsenal continued their preparation for the 2024/2025 season with a 4-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Emirates Cup on Wednesday night.
The Gunners raced into a two-goal lead within the opening 10 minutes.
Oleksandr Zinchenko fired Mikel Arteta’s men into the lead, before Leandro Trossard produced a stunning skill to make it 2-0.
Gabriel Jesus added a third, before Kai Havertz got on the scoresheet against his former club.
Adam Hlozek pulled one back for the Bundesliga champions.
Arsenal will play Lyon in their second game of the Emirates Cup on Sunday.
