Fuel Subsidy: NLC, TUC leaders meet with FG negotiation team

Leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) are currently at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to resume their meeting with the federal government negotiation team over the recent removal of petroleum subsidy.

The meeting is taking place in the office of the Chief of Staff to the President and is being attended by Labour delegations led by the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, and his TUC counterpart, Festus Osifo.

It is the third such meeting between both parties since the announcement of the removal of the petroleum subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.

This meeting comes after the NLC announced a proposed industrial action to commence on August 2, 2023, if its demands are not met.
