Gabon military arrests ousted president’s son, charges him with treason
The military junta in Gabon also detained the son of the deposed President Ali Bongo in a coup on Wednesday, according to Alarabiya News.
DAILY POST reported that on Wednesday, Gabonese Senior Military officers overthrew Ali Bongo, who was recently re-elected for a third term.
The report said Bongo’s son was arrested for treason.
The military had earlier announced that President Ali Bongo was under house arrest, surrounded by his family and doctors.
On July 26, a Military junta deposed Nigerien democratically-elected president, Mohammed Bazoum.
