Hajj 2023: Katsina to begin pilgrims’ airlift 29 May

The Executive Director, Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Suleiman Kuki, on Tuesday, disclosed that the board would commence the airlifting of intending pilgrims from the state on 29, May 2023.

The Executive Director made the disclosure in Katsina while speaking at the 2023 Hajj Stakeholders meeting held at the conference hall of the board.

Kuki said the board had concluded all arrangements towards a successful 2023 Hajj operation.

He commended the stakeholders for their support and dedication during last year’s Hajj operation and urged them to sustain the tempo.

The Executive Director spoke extensively on the readiness of the board to commence the airlift as scheduled.

The stakeholders were also told that the first batch of intending pilgrims from Nasarawa state will depart Nigeria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 25, May 2023.

Other stakeholders including the representatives of Max Air, Customs, immigration, police, as well as Port-health, among others, also spoke on the preparedness of their respective agencies for the Hajj exercise.
