No Champions League, Europa ticket for Man United – Amorim
Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has said the team must forget about qualifying for European competitions, after a fourth defeat in five Premier League games.
United lost 2-0 to Wolves on Boxing Day, with Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan scoring for the hosts.
Amorim’s men have now lost each of their last three matches, conceding nine goals in the process.
United are now 14th in the table and just seven points clear of relegation spots.
When asked whether the Red Devils needed to be concerned by teams below them, Amorim said: “Yeah – in this moment we just have to survive and to win sometimes.”
Amorim also added that United must forget about qualifying for European football next season.
“No, no, no, no,” he said when asked whether United could think of Europe.
“We have to work on a lot of things in our club both inside and outside the pitch.”
