Plane capacity will determine number of Nigerians to cross border – Egypt
The Egyptian authorities have pegged the number of Nigerians to cross the border to the available plane capacity.
The Federal Government on Monday secured passage for the over 2,000 Nigerians stranded at the Aswan border for the past six days.
Though, the favour came with conditions, which could best be described as stringent, The Nation gathered not all of the stranded Nigerians would go through the Egyptian border.
It was learnt only two planes are on ground in Egypt- the Air Force C130 and one Air Peace .
At the time of filing the report, the Nigerian authorities have finished paying the $25 visa fee and $9 for each of the evacuees.

“Once done , they take them to the Egypt border. The condition given is that we can only come with the no the plane can take,” a government official said.
The Nation gathered the government officials would have to profile the people with the purpose of giving priority to the most vulnerable among the group.
