Ronaldo becomes first player to score 850 career goals

Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first football player to hit 850 goals.

The 38-year-old found the back of the net as the Saudi Pro League side beat Al Hazem 5-1 on Saturday.

It was Ronaldo’s sixth goal in three games. He also provided two assists as Al Nassr recorded a third successive win.

“Another great team performance! We keep improving. Let’s go @AlNassrFC … 850 career goals and still counting!” Ronaldo posted on social media.

Ronaldo has now scored 26 goals in his first 30 games in all competitions for Al Nassr. It is just one short of the number he managed in the same number of games at the start of his Real Madrid career.

His longtime rival Lionel Messi currently has 818 career goals.
