Tinubu has heard you loud and clear – Minister calls for end of protest

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has called for the suspension of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Friday, Onyejeocha urged protesters to halt their demonstrations, citing concerns over the recent loss of lives and emphasising President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to improving living conditions for Nigerians.

“My heart goes out to those who lost their lives during the protests,” Onyejeocha said.

“It is quite unfortunate that these things have to happen this way. I plead that we should sheathe our swords, embrace peace, and stop at this moment.”

Onyejeocha reassured that President Tinubu has heard the public’s concerns and is actively working towards addressing them.

She urged protesters to trust in the president’s efforts and to support the government’s initiatives.

Similarly, Shuaibu Audu, Minister of Steel Development, urged protesters to trust the Renewed Hope Agenda and suspend the demonstrations.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji, Audu highlighted intelligence reports indicating that some individuals might attempt to hijack the protests and incite chaos.

Audu assured Nigerians that their expectations for good governance would be met by the end of President Tinubu’s first term in office, and urged patience and trust in the administration’s efforts.
