Tinubu returns to Abuja after G20 leaders summit in Brazil
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after attending the 19th G20 leaders summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The president and his wife, Oluremi, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday evening.
Earlier in the morning, the presidential jet took off at Galeao Air Force Base, Rio de Janeiro.
Tinubu departed Nigeria on November 17 to attend the summit held between November 18 and 19.
Tinubu’s participation at the summit was at the invitation of President Lula Da Silva of Brazil.
At the summit, the president announced the commitment of Nigeria to the global alliance against hunger and poverty, launched by the Brazilian presidency of the G20.
He also had some bilateral meetings and saw to the signing of a letter of intent for Nigeria’s partnership with three Brazilian companies to facilitate the development of the country’s livestock sector.
