Transfer: Man Utd relieved as hope in Harry Kane deal rekindled
Manchester United have been given encouragement that they could still get Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
ESPN reports there is a belief the striker will have to leave Spurs.
Spurs owner, Joe Lewis has informed chairman, Daniel Levy that he is not ready to allow Kane leave the North London club for free next summer.
Kane will either have to sign a new deal or be sold this transfer window.
It is believed the England captain has already decided he won’t extend his contract.
Although United have shifted focus to Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani, they could still come back in for Kane.
However, the Red Devils will not stretch to Spurs’ valuation of more than £100 million amid concerns Kane’s wage demands could be prohibitive.
