37 Year old Taraba Reps member-elect, Maihanchi Isma’ila, dies in Abuja

he House of Representatives member-elect for Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in Taraba State, Isma’ila Maihanchi, is dead, NEWS FLASH has learnt.

The 37-year-old Maihanchi died at the National Hospital in Abuja.

He reportedly died in the early hours of today following a brief illness.

He won his election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and consequently issued Certificate of Return by INEC.

He defeated the incumbent House of Representatives member, Kasimu Maigari.

Before his election, he served as a Special Adviser to Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku. He had also served as the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State.

His remains would be laid to rest according to Islamic rites later in the day.
